Call for Manuscript Submissions to EcoHealth

EcoHealth

IEF 2008 participants are encouraged to submit manuscripts for publication in the international, peer-reviewed, official journal of the International Association for Ecology and Health (IAEH), EcoHealth.

EcoHealth focuses on the integration of knowledge at the interface between ecological and health sciences. The journal provides a gathering place for research and reviews that integrate three key components: ecology, health and sustainability. The Journal publishes research papers, short notes, and reviews on the ecology of zoonotic and wildlife diseases, conservation medicine and ecosystem health. EcoHealth is published quarterly by Springer-Verlag New York, LLC on behalf of the EcoHealth Journal Consortium.

The December 2008 issue of EcoHealth will be featured at the Forum. This issue is particularly directed toward the representing collaborators and Forum attendees – INSP, IDRC, IPÊ, FIOCRUZ, USP and other groups working in Latin America.

EcoHealth invites substantial contributions in the following thematic areas:

  • Integrated studies in ecology, health and sustainability
  • Global Change and Human Health
  • Conservation Medicine

NOTE:
The best papers presented at the meeting will be published in the journal as part of a special feature EcoHealth issue. Authors whose abstracts are accepted are encouraged to prepare them for submission to EcoHealth for their consideration as part of a special feature conference issue. During the Forum, a special workshop on publishing a paper in EcoHealth will provide submission assistance to authors who have completed or near completed manuscripts.

Papers that focus on explicitly advancing transdisciplinary ecohealth science and practice, including the science underlying the ecosystem approach to research and control of diseases are particularly encouraged.
